Install of 316SS-500A -2 2 man crew. Inspect existing damaged / worn cables and match replacement product to door requirements. Secure door down and disconnect electric operator (if applicable). Unwind spring(s) to remove tension and allow for slack on the cables. Unbolt cable drums and remove cable from moment arm. Disconnect cable from bottom brackets and discard. Cut and measure new cable lengths on site and swagger cable ends to create loop and stopper sides. Supply and install new cables onto bottom brackets and feed upward behind roller stems to top of door. Check level and alignment of door face and tracking and make adjustments as required if corrections are needed. Secure left hand cable drum tight against bearing plate and fasten to shaft. Insert cable into cable drum moment arm and wrap cable removing all slack. Clamp shaft into position and ensure cable is inserted properly into drum and onto bottom brackets. Check cable full length to ensure it is not catching on obstructions and is clear of door components. Seat cable into right hand cable drum and rotate drum until cable is tight and slack is removed. Cable drum tightened against right hand bearing plate and fastened to shaft. Reapply appropriate spring tension to balance door. Test to ensure proper function and safe operation of door system.
